Set to make a statment after a season opening loss, senior Wildcat, Annie Backs, began the scoring with an RBI groundout scoring sophomore Izzi Clawson in the second AB of the game.

In the same at bat, Clawson, the lead off hitter, advanced to second on a walk with superb hussel. Both runners scored on Backs’ second and third RBIs of the game. The fourth run of the inning came off the bat of, senior, Megan Wibbenmeyer who scored Backs on a fielder’s choice.

Sophomore, Maddie Voldingand, and King each scored off of back to back errors forced by dueling bunts and heads up base running.

Rosati-Kain recorded their first hit in the third on a bunt. After a wild pitch, single, and consecutive passed balls, Rosati-Kain put up their first run of the game, but a Sweet strikeout ended the threat.
