September Athletes of the Month

TAYLOR DORSEY
September belonged to Wildcats first baseman Taylor Dorsey. The Senior captain has anchored the middle of the order, leading the team in most of the major offensive categories. She is tops in the area with her .551 average and leads the Metro Conference with a .614 OBP. She also leads the team in hits, doubles, triples, and home runs. Dorsey has provided clutch hits for the Wildcat offense all season long, including an 8th inning home run and walk off single against Parkway Central. The four year letterman looks to lead her team deep into the playoffs this year

EVAN JOHNSON
The Senior quarterback has had a brilliant season while leading the Wildcats to an undefeated season. In his first season as the team’s starting QB, he has lead to team to their first Metro League title, a win against a tough John Burroughs squad, and a #3 ranking in all of Missouri. He has been just what the Cats have needed at the quarterback position, making big plays and good decisions all season long. Johnson has 16 total TD’s and only 3 interceptions, teaming up with RB Steve Webb and WR Dylan Conway to form a dynamic offensive trio. His strong senior campaign is highlighted by a 5 TD performance in a win against Priory. QB1’s 1302 yards are good for 2nd in the Metro League for quarterbacks, and also rank among all quarterbacks in the St. Louis area. Johnson looks to lead the Wildcats to their first state title when the playoffs start in a few weeks.
