Westminster vs U-City Preview

All eyes are on the the undefeated Wildcats as they approach Saturday’s game against U-City. The Lions undoubtably pose the the Westminster’s greatest challenge of the playoffs so far, so what we should look for in Lion -Wildcat showdown.
The Lions run a pass heavy offense, lead by Senior quarterback Keandre Bledsoe. However, Bledoe’s status is in question after exiting last Saturday’s game against St. Dominic with an apparent arm injury. There are rumblings of a possible broken wrist, but there has been no confirmation so the Wildcats must prepare for Bledsoe’s athleticism. If Bledsoe is a no go, Ronnie Perkins will run the U-City offense. The 6-4 225 lbs Sophomore in a presence on the field. Perkins has a cannon for an arm and powerful running style that could present a challenge for the Wildcat defense. No matter which quarterback suits up, the Cats will have their work cut out for them. “They have an explosive offense,” said Junior linebacker Cooper Moore.
Offensively, it will be a battle of the lines. Both teams have massive lines, and winning that battle will be key. The Westmnster players also talked about how they need to play a disciplined game: “We can’t give them second chances,” said Moore.
