Varsity Tennis Cruises Against Lutheran South

The Varsity Tennis Team continued their streak of good play on Thursday, defeating the Lutheran South Lancers 8-1.

Playing against conference rivals will always give a team an extra boost, and it was apparent in the way the Cats played the Lancers. In the doubles matches,  the paring of Seniors Emily Stevenson and Sarah Ragsdale got an easy win. The pairings of Seniors Tessa Copeland  and Margo Koby, as well as Sophomore Caroline Hinrichs and Freshman Hattie Means also came away with wins.

In the singles portion, the Lady Cats steamrolled the Lancers. Individual winners included Stevenson, Ragsdale, Copeland, Hinrichs, and Means. The only defeat of the night was against Koby, who narrowly lost in a singles match.

The members of the team were happy with their win, and also liked the support they received.

“We all played very well today. We were focused and enjoyed being on the court. There was a lot of team energy and support throughout the match” said Stevenson.
