Lacrosse Secures Huge Win Against Marquette

The tensions were high going into the Marquette vs WCA game, as this had been a matchup both schools had been trying to make happen for a while, but it had never gone through. The Wildcats started out hot, going up 3-1 in the 1st quarter. The Mustangs fought back, keeping the game within one as we went into halftime, making it 4-3. The Mustangs started off the 3rd quarter running, fighting back to take the lead 6-4. But, the Cats were not finished yet. The Cats defense stood tall, blocking a barrage of shots that would have put the game out of reach and by the end of the 3rd quarter they were down one, 6-5. The defense continued to stand tall as the offense prevailed. A ridiculous behind the back shot from midfielder Keenan Miller shot up the Cats spirits and ultimately helped keep them up as they ran to a 9-7 win.
