- Updated: 09/18/2015
On a night that featured screaming cows and chickens, Westminster volleyball completed a two game sweep of MICDS.
In the first game, the Cats got off to a slow start as the Rams jumped out to a 8-6 lead. But the Cats stormed back making it 13-8, thanks in part to Elizabeth Sems who lead the the team with 4 kills and an ace in the first set. Madeline Williams also added two powerful kills and Erin Galakatos added two kills and an ace. The Cats did not let up in the first match, finishing it out strong to a final tally of 25-15.
The second game went just as strong for the Wildcats, as they quickly jumped out to a commanding 14-7 lead. The match was dominated by Meegan Williams, Senior, and Avery Engelmeyer, Sophomore, who each contributed 4 kills. The Cats did not surrender their lead, despite a late push by the Rams that made it interesting. The Cats finished out the sweep with a 25-19 win.
Catch the Cats in action next Tuesday the 22nd at Villa.
