The JV Football team decimated the Christian High Eagles, in a 48-0 shutout to conclude the final home game of the season.
The Wildcats started strong, with a long drive capped off with a 1 yard touchdown run by Atlin Hall, Freshman, making the score 7-0 in the 1st quarter. Hall would conclude with over 200 yards on the day.
After forcing CHS to punt, the Wildcats would score on a 40 yard bomb from Chad Briden, Sophomore, to Grant LaValle, Sophomore, making the score 14-0 in the 1st quarter.
The Wildcat defense was a key factor on the day, making sure the CHS offense never thought about going into the red zone and always had to punt the ball off.
Levi Alldredge, Sophomore, was a part of that iron wall on defense, picking off a key pass at the Wildcat 30 yard line and returning it to the CHS 30 yard line. Trevor Neuse, Freshman, would then follow that up with a 10 yard dash into the end zone to make it 21-0 in the 1st quarter.
Zion Thompson, Freshman, would tack onto the Wildcats score with a 15 yard run into the end zone, making the score 28-0 in the second quarter.
Atlin Hall was able to break free of the defenders grasp at mid field and score on a 45 yard run, making the score 35-0 in the 3rd quarter. Atlin would also do the same again in the 3rd quarter, scoring on another 45 yard touchdown run, making the score 42-0.
The Wildcat field goal team also got some work, scoring the final points on a 35 yard kick as the final minutes ticked off in the 4th.
Be sure to root on your Varsity Wildcats on Saturday at Carnival and your JV Wildcats on Monday when they face off against a very strong Borgia team!
