Cats Conquer Spartans

After beating a talented Borgia squad, the Wildcats squared off against Francis Howell Central Spartans. The Wildcats started off hot and built a quick ten point lead and never looked back. Junior Steve Webb lead all scorers with 25 and fellow junior Cliff DeGroot chipped in 21.
Late in the fourth, the Spartans made a frantic run and cut the lead to 8. Coach Coleman fired a time out and drew up a brilliant play which freed up DeGroot for an open three which he hammered home to put a dagger in the Spartans.
The tournament title is the Cats second this year.
The Cats maintained their intensity behind the support of a raucous 3-man Blue Crew and defeated the Spartans 70-63.
Stat of the game: Aaron Cook, Steve Webb and Cliff DeGroot accounted for all but 6 of the 70 Westminster in the victory.
