Can the Wildcats pick up some momentum?

Thomas Shultz

The Westminster Wildcats’ boys soccer team had a very busy schedule last week. They started the week at Priory with a loss, but bounced back the next day at Parkway North with a big 7-0 win. The following game they took on a very tough Parkway West Longhorns team. Both teams battled hard and fought all game all game long through two tough halves of regulation, two halves of overtime, and penalty shots.

Wildcats beat the Longhorns in PK’s shooting 5 for 5 on their shots. Goals coming from Harrison Lawrence, Patrick Clause (captain), Danny Sacco, Zach Cancila (captain) and lastly the game winner by Nathan Laughlin (captain). On the other hand Longhorns come up short shooting 4 for 5 with one crucial save by Joey Keane on shot number four.

“We look to turn this district win into momentum going into the rest of the season and get back to a winning record” said Patrick Clause, Captain.

After the big win the teams record moves to 4-5 with two more games coming up this week. Monday @Pattonville at 4:15 and Thursday @John Burroughs at 4:15. Come show your support as the fútbol cats try and build onto the 2 game win streak.
