Varsity Soccer Senior Night Preview

The Westminster Varsity Soccer team is preparing for a big game tonight against Lutheran South. Being that it is Senior Night, the Wildcats will be playing all the seniors on the team to start the game.
The game tonight will not be easy, however. Lutheran South will be a tough opponent. They have a season record of 11-9. The teams are neck and neck in goals scored; the Lancers have scored 46 compared to the Wildcats’ 45.
Joey Keane is looking to earn his seventh shut out and eighth win of his last year of Wildcat soccer. Luke Linam will try to increase his lead as the team’s best goal-scorer with 10 current goals on the season.
Because it is Senior Night, some senior players who don’t usually play as much get the opportunity to show what they can bring to the team. Among these players are Harrison Lawrence, Alex Chen, and Colin Davitt.
Hopefully, with a Wildcat victory, the boys will build momentum to finish the regular season strong and take their confidence into districts where they will either face Priory or Summit, both very strong opponents.
